My everyday breakfast smoothies, even my kids like this:
    1 avocado
    1 small handful of almonds
    3 scoops vanilla protein powder
2-3 generous handfuls kale or spinach
    1 tray ice
2 cups yogurt/almond milk/ water (or enough to blend well)

Makes 4-5 servings, tastes like avocado pudding. Needs to really smooth, needs a powerful blender. The KitchenAid would work well 🙂

  18. October 1st, 2013 at 16:37 | #18

I’ll be making lots of healthy smoothies for breakfast!

I would be able to listen to my trainer who always tells me to have a protein shake instead of grabbing fattening snacks. It would help me to lose the partying and holiday pounds that have settled on me!
I would also love to make healthful fun drinks/smoothies for my grandchildren who drop by for treats from Grandma! This would really be a great tool for teaching them about better quality food choices and expanding their palates for lots of different flavours.

Post workout protein shakes! Usually use vanilla whey and some type of fruit.. banana, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries. Incorporating different flavours of juice or even chocolate milk for a nice treat! Also great for making a variet of different creamy soups – tomato, sweet potato and my favourite… guacamole with avocado, sour cream and salsa!
