I’ve got a confession to make. See this track? See this pool? Sadly whenever I need to count laps I’m simply UNABLE to keep track. Each time I get out there I really do try and each time I fail.
However, EPSON has solved my problems. They’ve introduced a line of watches (5 models to be exact) that help me out with this problem … and more! There’s 2 GPS Running Watches and 3 Multisport watches that were launched in early November and I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak.
Specifically the watch that I want to blog about today is the EPSON ProSense 307. Here’s why this watch is so amazing:
-Accurate GPS and Heart Rate
–Multisport functions: 1. swim (pool or open water) 2. run (outdoor or indoor), 3. bike (outdoor or indoor).
-EasyView Display (no glare) and comfy silicon wrist band.
-Easy to use 5 button design and dedicated back button.
–Up to 24 hour GPS Battery life (very cool feature) AND Activity Tracking (5 to 7 days) AND Watch Mode (30 Days).
This brilliant watch also features, VO2 Max Recovery Time and Training Effect Estimates, Music Control, Interval Training, Workout Alerts, Alarm Clock and Waypoint Navigation.
Plus there’s an app for automatic data upload that goes directly to all your personal devices.
Seriously, this watch has it all!!
If you don’t think you need all these features, there are different watches at a variety of price points. Please consider looking at the entire range of EPSON watches which range in price from around $129 to $539. The difference in price reflects the difference in features and battery range however all of them are waterproof and have the same highly accurate components.
I was all to happy to give this watch to my boyfriend on the day of his first 5 km race. He wore it with pride and he enjoyed checking out all the functions. Not to mention his time for the race was a personal best. I’d like to think it had something to do with the watch!!

I love to save money. Some of my friends would describe me as being “frugal” and it’s true. I won’t argue.
I’ve been like this since I was little. I just loved to save money and not really spend it! Now I spend it but I’m careful about how I spend it and think hard before making purchases.
Not to mention I do a fair bit of research to find out if I’m getting the best price.
Thankfully there’s apps these days to help me accomplish this. Lately, I’ve been using RedFlagDeals.com (RFD) which is a leading deal-finding app and website that syndicates geo-localized bargains, and hosts user-generated forums to help Canadians find the best deals around.
Seeing as it’s back to school season – I think this app will come in very handy for many households!
This app has many amazing features…take a peek:
I can find all the hottest deals and more. Here’s a few of my favourite features that are on this app.
-I’m able to personalize the deals (BRING IT ON!!) and flyers I’m looking for. For example, I live close to a Metro Grocery store so I can easily set that particular grocery store as a “favourite” so I can see all their flyers first!
-I have the ability to get the latest news, information and tips that matter to me. Here’s a screenshot which demonstrates this. Love knowing what’s going on with some of my favourite retailers.
I’m also able to use a search engine that will feature freebies (yay) and coupons too. See the coupon at the bottom for the CNE? Well I know for sure that this freebie will interest many (many) people…including me!!!
Hope you get a chance to download this app soon for the chance to save, save and save some more!

Recently I’ve been introduced to two products that are making my life SO much easier more organized.
Item #1: P-touch Label Maker (by brother)
Here’s a few features that I’m loving:
• Large, easy-type keyboard and convenient top loading tape design. (seriously it took me a few minutes to figure it out – and trust me I’m challenged in this area)
• Large, graphical display which lets you view text and layout before printing.
• Intuitive one-touch keys support quick, easy label formatting.
• Create detailed labels with up to 2 lines of text and graphics.
• Create labels for indoor or outdoor use. (very cool)
• Split back tapes for easy peel and stick. (easy peasy)
• Select the language of your choice
• 1-year limited warranty and free support for the life of your product.
I immediately used my labeller to help me organize my closet. Now I can find my upcoming Chanuka Decorations in seconds. #happydance
Plus I can find my cords in seconds. (how on earth did I accumulate so many cords?Don’t ask!!)
Item #2 – A Mobile Colour Scanner (by brother)
As a sales rep, I’m always asked to scan forms and receipts back to head office. I hate to say it but it takes a whole whack of time when using the scan feature on my printer. Not to mention as a blogger, I’m also asked to sign the occasional contract and send it back to a publicist. Now I can use this handy printer that takes no space at all with no need to click, click, click (you know what I mean)
Again, this scanner has some cool features:
• Scans up to 8 ppm in both colour and black&white
• Powerful software bundle including document and business card management programs.
• Compact and lightweight
• Powered via the included USB cable – no wall outlet required (HOW COOL IS THAT?)
• Easily scans documents, photos, plastic I.D. cards and more, from business card size up to 8.5″(W) x 32″(L)
I’m over the moon how small and compact this scanner is. The fact that it doesn’t require any batteries is a huge bonus!

I said “bye bye” to my Versa for a week and happily accepted the keys to a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze. This is clearly evident in this photo.
This beautiful car has so many cool features but here’s three features that really were my favourites.
1. This tiny pocket that cools down your phone, when the car is running!
2. The fact that the steering wheel will heat up. This is certainly a very cool feature when you live in Canada! Bye bye frozen fingers.
3. The BOSE sound system. OMG!! I generally do not care about such upgrades but this certainly caught my attention….immediately.
4. The technology features- certainly appealed to me. (especially seeing as Im in my car all day long as a sales rep and use way too much data).
5. The fact that I didn’t have to push a button to open the gas tank. I just had to push it and it opened…OLD SCHOOL. This made me smile.
Just in case you want to know the new features for 2016 – here you go:
-a larger lighter design
-all new standard 1.4L turbo engine. Fuel consumption ration of 5.6 L/100 Km
-stop/start technology with automatic transmission enhances fuel efficiency in stop-and-go driving (the story of my life as a sales rep who is on the roads in GTA traffic)
-available Android Auto and Apple Car Play compatibility allows smartphone features to integrate apps wth Chevrolet MyLink (yay..yay..yay)
I will be honest, I have only driven used cars since I started driving at the age of 30. However after driving this car, I swear I would I consider buying a new car. I was totally in love with all these features.
This car certainly is on my radar.

Here’s a few ideas for you and I hope you like them. I really tried to be creative. #justsayin
1. Give mom the gift of a one-on -one computer lesson.
Here’s a photo of my mom using my old iPhone 5. Bye Bye Flip Phone! She had one on one lessons with a friend who specializes in teaching seniors how to use smartphones/facebook/tablets etc. BEST GIFT.
2. Give Mom a calendar with 12 of your favourite photos.
I’m in the process of doing this RIGHT now using the new Kodak App. Oh how I love technology.
3. Give mom a new appliance from Breville.
I’m in love with all my Breville appliances and she will be too!
4. Give mom the gift of Technology. Take a peek at what Samsung has to offer these days. See this wireless charger? I know I would be one happy mom if I got one of these. LOL
5.. Give mom a subscription: May I suggest a subscription to Netflix, or Texture? (I’m a fan of both)
6.. If you have old letters that she sent to you at camp…. bring them out and read them to her. Seriously, this is so much fun.
7. Head over to Etsy. There’s no shortage of unique gifts on this website.
Hope these ideas were useful and have a wonderful day.

This sounds crazy but I live in a 950 sqf condo and own three printers. Actually that’s not true anymore – I got rid of the ancient printer from 5 years ago and kept the two hi tech printers. But truth be told, I’m sure I will be down to ONE printer soon as my NEW Epson is nothing short of brilliant.
The Epson Expression ET-2550 EcoTank All-in-One Printer comes with up to two years’ worth of ink – enough to print 4,000 black and 6,500 colour pages.
Say goodbye to your fear of high-cost colour-printing and out-of-ink frustrations; (which I’m sure you have all experienced).
Say hello to:
-No more out-of-ink frustrations
-Freedom to print in colour
-Innovative, super-high-capacity, refillable ink tanks
-Printing thousands of pages without replacing ink
-Ultra low-cost replacement ink
Notice the newspapers on the floor? This was a precaution when the bottles of ink were being opened up and poured into their respective tanks. Yes – a little messy but well worth it!
I’m not kidding, the printer was all set up and ready to print in about 20 minutes. How cool is that?
I think it’s great that this was included with the instructions however I didn’t need to use it. Yay.
Plus I can print directly from my tablet and smartphone too.
I’m really looking forward to never running out of ink and printing many (many) copies easily and efficiently.
Oh how I love technology.

Dear Starbucks,
Today I was on twitter and read a tweet from @SteveatGoodLife that I could pay for my Starbucks coffee using my iPhone. I was ecstatic. This news made my day. (thanks Steve)
I am one of those people who carry around 4 different cards with 4 different balances and this app is really going to make my life SO much easier. I am truly in love with those companies who embrace technology. I sincerely think you “get it”. I follow you on twitter (and hope you follow me back…hint hint) and hope that other retailers will follow your lead and embrace this type of technology too.
Last week, I was at an independent coffee shop who asked me if I wanted a “loyalty card” – you know, the type where they punch a hole, every time you visit. I declined, just the way I decline when given coupons. If you want my business – for heaven sakes – go hi tech! I can’t believe coupons or those types of loyalty cards even exist.
Starbucks, you really know what you are doing and I’m impressed. Even though I can’t find a table (don’t ask – my neighborhood Starbucks is busy ALL THE TIME), I will still get my tall pike from you on a regular basis.
My daughter is also a fan of your hot chocolate (with peppermint), and I’m sure she will be downloading the app on her phone soon too. (She is 12). She once sent me a text on her way home from school that said “can i stop off at Starbucks and get a cookie”. How could I say no?
Congratulations once again for developing this amazing feature for your customers. I hope the news spreads quickly and more and more customers will be flashing their iPhones to pay for their lattes, cookies, coffees etc.
I am one happy customer! (can you tell?)
Cheers,
Vicky – @momwhoruns

Posterjack to the rescue!!
There are projects I love doing and there are projects I hate doing. We all have this problem (I think).
Projects I love: cooking, entertaining, shopping (lol), researching recipes, etc.
Projects I hate doing: putting away the laundry, cleaning my car and PUTTING ART ON THE WALL.
My problems are now solved. All I did was upload a photo, click, click, click and a lovely tube arrived in the mail ready for me to simply PEEL and STICK to a wall. It took just a few minutes and now I don’t have a white wall anymore. WOOT.
The biggest issue was simply deciding which photo I wanted to upload. But once I decided it was a simple process.
I love technology!!
Please visit Posterjack for further information about this great service and this great product.
Now my daughers’ room is looking a bit more complete. Dont you think?
p.s that’s Snuffles on the pillow. He is from the Gund Collection and his tag says 1980!! He was my fav. stuffed animal and now he sits proudly on my daughters bed. But thats another blog post!!
