I must be living in a cave as I’ve only discovered this eatery this year!! This blog post is not going to be lengthy as I’ve only had ONE thing from Bitondo’s but that one item is indeed very blog worthy.
Bitondo’s Pizzeria is located in Little Italy and is famous for their slices, sandwiches, panzerotti & pies. The space can be described as an ageless eatery with simple decor but that doesn’t seem to bother me as I’m generally inhaling my panzerotti in the car!!
I keep returning and ordering the same thing. (which is generally how I roll, when I find something I like). Here’s a few words that would adequately describe this panzerotti: heaven, cheesy goodness, perfect and divine.
I once posted the above photo on facebook and asked “where am I” and would you believe someone guessed correctly. I was super impressed!
Not only does Bitondo’s serve a wicked panzerotti, but they also have PacMan which always brings a smile to my face.

Here’s a round up of a few new places to check out. After all…it’s summer so it’s the perfect time to get out there and embrace the warmer temperatures and introduce your taste buds to some new restaurants:
a) BareBurger: This is a hot hamburger chain in NYC that has recently opened their first franchise in North America. #luckytoronto. Bareburgers’ menu embraces vegan and vegetarian menus. Observers of paleo and glutenfree and low carb diets: and of course, lovers of meat, game and poultry! They are also committed to organics.
What to try? Any of their salads, a hamburger (of course) and save room for their the ice cream sandwich for dessert!!
b) Booyah Ice Cream Parlor: This new ice cream parlour just opened and it’s a few blocks from Dutch Dreams. So if you ever see 50 people in line and don’t have time to wait – you should really walk one more block and try one of their ice cream sandwiches. I tried a GRAPE NUT ice cream sandwich and was a happy camper!!
c) ZaPizzeria: This new pizza restaurant has my name all over it. I simply fell in love with their Oh Canada Pizza! (maple syrup, bacon and potato chips). This combination of sweet/salty and crunchy is exactly the type of combination that I adore. However I sampled their entire menu and seriously they were all equally tasty!!
Disclosure: I was invited to media events at BareBurger and ZaPizzeria however all opinions are my own.

Here’s a recap of my day:
It started off at Mr. Mike’s Pizza (269 Morningside) so that I could inhale a slice of poutine pizza…
……and it ended off at Brookelynn Bistro (9300 Keele St) to help celebrate World Nutella Day.
In between those two events, I went to the gym and ran on the treadmill (I swear).
Seriously. Life is good. Here’s more information about why I consumed Poutine Pizza and Nutella on the same day!!
a) Poutine Week takes place from Feb 1 – 7th, at 23 participating restaurants. I love the stuff….I’ve had it in sandwich, for brunch and now on a pizza.
b) World Nutella Day is on Feb 5th. I was happy to celebrate this special day with Brookelynn Bistro, Fables & Foccaccia in collaboration with Continental Noodles and Wild Burger! The menu included Wild Boar Nutella Sliders, Plantain Nutella Springrolls, Nutella Arancini, a Nutella Spread Station, and a Nutella Dessert Station and more!! I was freaking out with happiness. One item was better than another! Kudos to www.sweetboutique.ca for their delicious nutella creations and Wild Burger too. I’m in a food coma!!
Le Sigh…..
ps many thanks to Fables and Focaccia for inviting me to help celebrate World Nutella Day. You really are Queen of Nutella.

Panago is a pizza franchise that originated in Western Canada. Many years ago (about 6?), I discovered one of their first franchises in Toronto (on Gerrard St). I was impressed six years ago and I’m still impressed.
These are the reasons why I am super impressed with this pizza franchise:
a) Each location is spotless. Take a look at these counters….I mean seriously, this is impressive non?
b) The Pizza: I ordered the Veggie Korma (Indian Korma Sauce, Roasted Garlic, Baby Spinach Leaves, Green Peppers, Pineapple, Hot Banana Peppers, Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese). Despite the fact that I’m lactose intolerant and carb free since June 2012, I DEMOLISHED THE ENTIRE PIZZA. I couldn’t help myself. I tried to only have one piece but it didn’t work.
Is this not one gorgeous looking pizza?
3) They get Social Media and use it in a big way. You see, I scored the above Pizza due to a Four Square Promotion that was taking place at their Liberty Village location. It wasn’t a free slice, it was an ENTIRE small pizza. I had an amazing chat with the manager (Manny) who also told me about other promotions (ie www.libertyvillagereviews.com). Oh how I love social media (and good pizza).
4) They offer gluten free pizza too. This was launched just recently and I’m sure there’s a lot people out there who are happy to hear this!
Have you checked out Panago before? You really should. #justsayin’.
