News Flash…News Flash….EQ3 in Liberty Village has opened their flagship store. Exclusive to this store is the Marimekko line. Yes..that’s right, that gorgeous, stunning, vibrant textile company from Finland. Disclosure: I was able to get a sneak preview but the official date that this store opens is Saturday September 1st!
If you don’t recognize the name perhaps you will recognize the fabrics that they are famous for.
Want. Now.
The store has a dedicated section for Marimekko and I seriously stood there for a long time saying to myself “I want this..I want that…I wish I could have that…”.
There is nothing not to like.
This will be the flagship store for EQ3 and there is something for everyone. Wheather you are looking for napkins, a clock, an end table or a cushion…this store should certainly be on your radar. There is something for everyone and something for everyones budgets too!!
Stunning.
I was so impressed and so grateful that I hung around to see the opening of the second floor which had even more gorgeous items to stare at. Infact, there is a total of 9,000 sqf of space in this flagship store.
I have now been in my apartment for a year and I’m sure a little “shopping therapy” at EQ3 would be a perfect way to celebrate this occasion.
Only one small problem: I can never make a decision. Does anyone else have this problem?

Lately I’ve been shopping a lot on Ebay. I’m not quite sure what took me so long to get introduced to Ebay but I’m so glad we are now friends!!
In the last month I have purchased: a charger, an iPad screen saver, a Belkin arm band for my iphone and just last week I won the auction for a Canon Rebel EOS. Hooray!!
Oh yeah..I bought this chair too. I was tired of blogging in bed and I didn’t want to blog at a desk either. Here’s the story how the chair was purchased. I was trying to kill time while waiting for @HeatherLochner to meet me for lunch and Structube was right next door. So I wandered in…saw the chair and pulled out my visa. (I’m decisive, can you tell?)
the chair in the store...
Momwhoruns...using the chair
Lunch was a little more expensive than I planned. However I am happy. Really happy.
I’m kinda sad that I cant’t afford the new Michael Kors bag but hey…I’ve got my chair and my new camera. Happiness.

What makes you happy?
Like really really happy?
Is it a blue sky? ? playing board games with your children? sleeping in? staying in your pyjamas for a whole day? or a good cup of coffee with latte art? (see photo)
Does coffee make you happy?
If I had to answer that question…it would have to be flowers. If I could afford to have fresh flowers every single week I would do it. I get a great amount of happiness from SELECTING the flowers and from arranging the flowers.
How Gorgeous!
When I visit my favorite flower stores that are lined up on Avenue Road, south of Davenport…I walk around, I think, I gather, I consider…there is a whole thought process going on. It’s unlike any other purchase.
Happy Vicky!
You must think I’m strange. OK I admit it – it is a bit odd. However it makes me happy and being happy is a good thing!!
So tell me what makes you happy?
Being happy and being in the moment..is great.
Happy Flower Shopping.

Many (many) years ago, I was a marketing director at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. It was during that contract that I was introduced to Mexx.
Fast forward many years: they have just opened a GORGEOUS flagship store on Yonge Street.
Gorgeous!
We are talking …a gorgeous space. Mexx did it right. High ceilings, lots of light, and the best part is that the whole family can shop in this store. There’s menswear and womenswear on the first floor, and on the second floor you can find the childrens’ section. Plus, they have a maternity line. Did you know that?
How Adorable!!
I also discovered that the flagship store will be offering Personal Shoppers to assist busy moms and dads who might need help finding that perfect outfit, accessory etc.
I had a lovely chat with Lisa, who told me that all you have to do is call to book an appointment with her and she will happily assist with no obligation. Sweet!
Lisa is happy to assist!!
I hope you get a chance to visit this store soon! This “mom who runs” will be stopping by again.
Mexx can be found at 2529 Yonge Street .
Happy Shopping.
